Biography

Winnie Clarke

Winnie Clarke trained at The Arts Educational School, London, graduating in Dance and Musical Theatre in 1998.

She commenced her professional career as a lead vocalist with residential bands, trios and duos performing gigs and corporate events nationwide.

She then took to sea for six months as the lead vocalist onboard the P&O ship Arcadia. Since then she has played Dandi in Cinderella and Fairy in Jack and the Beanstalk, both for the Blackfriars Arts Centre near her home in Lincolnshire. She has also appeared at the Theatre Royal, Windsor, in Aladdin.

Her tours include 18 months with the show Beyond Broadway, the national tour of The Rat Pack and two UK Productions’ tours with Carousel and Jekyll and Hyde playing the leading role at Cliffs Pavilion, Southend-on-Sea and the Grand Theatre in Swansea.

Winnie Clarke, also known as Just Solo, sings to her hearts content as a solo artist, using material covering artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Norah Jones, Eva Cassidy, Dusty Springfield and more.

Winnie performs at many venues such as corporate functions, weddings, dinner dances, award ceremonies, golf clubs and restaurants nationwide.

Winnie enjoys playing the piano and clarinet in her spare time and teaching voice work.
